In addition to the Aloy skin, the bundle will also contain a Blaze canister black bling, as well as a pickaxe that looks a lot like Aloy’s spear in Horizon Zero Dawn, along with a matching glider, emote, weapon wrap, and a Horizon-themed loading screen.

Aloy Is Headed to Fortnite

Aloy, from @Guerrilla’s Horizon Zero Dawn arrives on April 15! Read about her Set, the Aloy Cup and some info about a special LTM.https://t.co/DqtYiSG5G8 — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) April 13, 2021 As previously mentioned, the Horizon Zero Dawn bundle will arrive in Fortnite soon and the pairing actually makes a lot of sense. In case you missed it, Fortnite’s current theme for the season is “Primal”, with dinosaurs like raptors roaming around. You can even tame the animals on the island, if you want. The announcement also comes at just the right time. The 2017 Sony first-party title has a sequel expected to release some time later this year. While Sony nor Guerrilla Games have yet to confirm or deny its delay, partnering with Epic Games to add Aloy to their hit battle royale title is a great way to generate hype. Aloy now joins a long line of licensed characters making an appearance in Fortnite. A fellow Sony alumni, Kratos, also recently appeared in Fortnite as a playable skin. Other first-party mascots have since been made available in Fortnite including Master Chief, with video game icons like Lara Croft also available in the game. Speaking of Lara Croft, Aloy’s arrival in Fortnite marks the addition of an all-new limited time duos mode. In this particular mode, players will take control of either Aloy or Lara Croft. The two will wield only their signature weapons while keeping an eye out for each other, as well as surrounding wildlife and upgrading their weapons. In addition to the new character, Epic Games also introduced off-road tires to Fortnite in the recent update. This should make it easier to drive across the island’s now-rockier terrain.

What’s Next for Fortnite?

Chapter 2 Season 6 of Fortnite is currently underway, and it’s definitely something. Not only can players now tame the many animals roaming around the island, but the game introduced a lot more PvE mechanics as well. This has effectively turned Fortnite into more than just your typical battle royale game, much to the delight of fans. One thing worth noting here is that an earlier leak did detail that Aloy was coming to Fortnite, along with other characters. Whether this is just pure coincidence is not something we can confirm. However, of the numerous characters on the supposedly leaked list of incoming Fortnite crossovers, a couple has already arrived to the game. Also, don’t forget, some new games coming soon include the next Ratchet & Clank title and Resident Evil Village. Considering how big the said franchises are, we’re not ruling out the possibility that characters from either one if not both will appear in Fortnite soon.
