If things don’t change, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage could get an “Adults-Only” rating once it comes out because it contains two fateful words: Real Gambling. According to the Microsoft Store, the upcoming stealth-focused installment in Ubisoft’s award-winning series will feature Intense Violence, Blood and Gore, Sexual Themes, Partial Nudity, and Real Gambling. If you remove Real Gambling, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will land itself squarely within the series’ usual M-rating category, which is more likely. Keep in mind that most digital marketplaces refuse to list games with an AO rating. Ubisoft and Assassin’s Creed might be one of the larger players in the gaming industry, but they’re not exactly in a good financial shape. Ubisoft can’t afford for Mirage NOT to sell well. This would imply that things will still change for Mirage. This also makes sense since Ubisoft Bordeaux is still working on the game ahead of its potential launch next year. Speaking of Assassin’s Creed, Mirage isn’t the only thing from the franchise that fans should look forward to in the coming years. In addition to the Basim-led nthquel, Ubisoft will launch several new titles as part of Infinity along with a partnership with Netflix for a mobile game and a live-action TV series.
