Is Call of Duty: Warzone coming to mobile platforms?
We’ve heard talks of Call of Duty: Warzone headed to mobile platforms ever since eagle-eyed observers noticed several job postings hinting at its development. Meanwhile, Activision itself confirmed that it had formed an internal studio for the sole purpose of working on Call of Duty mobile games. This time, the leak comes from none other than Tom Henderson. According to the known industry insider, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile was recently added to the PlayTestCloud database - PlaytestCloud is a playtesting service that mobile game developers use - suggesting that it will release in 2022.

Because of this, the popular playtesting service removed the game from its database, effectively saying that no testing had occurred for the upcoming mobile game. Despite this, Henderson continued to insist that the leak isn’t necessarily false and that the game could still be coming sometime in 2022. Of course, it’s best not to put too much weight on what Henderson just said. Activision hasn’t even publicly acknowledged that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile exists yet. At the same time, Henderson isn’t a nobody. He is one of the most reputable leakers in the industry, which suggests that he saw something worth reporting on. Ultimately, we’ll know for sure if Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is coming if Activision makes an official announcement. In other Call of Duty news, there are talks that Activision is thinking about dropping the series’ annual release schedule in light of Call of Duty: Vanguard’s lackluster sales. Eagle-eyed observers also spotted job listings on Toys for Bob’s website that suggests that the Call of Duty: Warzone support studio is working on a new game that is not Call of Duty.
