Like the advancements made to PSVR 2, the games are also getting better for the ultimate VR gaming experience. VR gaming fans will be happy to know that there is a great lineup of next-gen VR games specifically made with the highly anticipated PSVR 2 in mind.

Sony hosted a State of Play in which a number of games were announced for PSVR 2. Here’s a rundown of every confirmed title for the PSVR 2.

Horizon: Call of the Mountain

Call of the Mountain is a new adventure-packed game, in the world of Horizon, that will indulge players in an immersive VR experience. The beautiful world of Horizon can now be experienced “in-person” as the unique experience is developed to push the new hardware technology and advancements the next-gen console offers. You won’t be playing as Aloy. Instead, the story will be told through a brand new character. But do not fret, as you will see familiar faces on your journey through the vibrant land of Horizon.

Resident Evil 4 Remake

Resident Evil 4 Remake is supposed to release in 2023 and will have PSVR 2 support as soon as it is available. We’re not sure about the extent of VR support, but RE4 Remake will have some form of PSVR 2 support. The remake itself has proven to be a nightmare-fueled experience. The eerie landscape and sinister environment of Resident Evil 4 are unmatched even to this day. To experience it in VR would be unreal.

Resident Evil: Village

Next up is Resident Evil: Village. VR fans can rejoice as Resident Evil: Village will be getting full PSVR 2 support whenever the headset is available for purchase. Experiencing the full might of Lady Dimitrescu in VR will be interesting, to say the least. If you’ve played Resident Evil: Village, you’ll know that going through the traumatic and extremely grotesque baby monster won’t be a pleasant experience in VR. Good luck to those who are still willing to try it out.

No Man’s Sky

No Man’s Sky already has PSVR support, but it will bring the VR experience over on the PSVR 2, utilizing the PS5 hardware. From the announcement trailer, No Man’s Sky looks absolutely stunning to play in VR. The level of detail and immersion alone will leave your jaw dropped. No Man’s Sky has had its bad days, but the game has picked back up. Using PSVR 2 to play No Man’s Sky is the closest you’ll get to exploring and surviving in space.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution

The next chapter of the highly anticipated VR series is coming to both PSVR and PSVR 2. The complete series will be available for PSVR 2 when it releases. Chapter 2 will feature a new story and gameplay enhancements for PSVR 2.

Other Confirmed Games

In addition to the games announced during the State of Play on June 2, there are numerous other games that are confirmed for the new PSVR 2.

Low-Fi

In Low-Fi, you take on a role of a sheriff in a futuristic city filled with criminals. You can choose to either be a good cop or a bad cop. The world is highly immersive and traversing in how you want to approach your gameplay.

Runner

Runner is an anime-inspired motorcycle action game. It draws heavy inspiration not just from anime but also from the original SEGA game - Road Rash. It gives off serious 80s vibes.

Among Us VR

Now you can be an imposter in a much more immersive environment. Or, explore the spaceship with your friends to determine who the real imposter is. The game will be available for PSVR 2 when it releases.

Samurai Slaughter House

Samurai Slaughter House allows you to become a Samurai in a physics-based sandbox game. You can either play the game through stealth or go all out hacking and slashing. The PSVR 2 will be launching with several great titles to keep VR gamers busy for months. This is a great lineup to start with. As we move beyond the release of PSVR 2, we can expect a lot more games to come out, of course.
