As players constantly bombard Rockstar with questions about GTA 6, it appears that the studio has decided it has had enough.

Is Rockstar ever going to announced Grand Theft Auto VI?

Fans have gone to extreme lengths to try and coax Rockstar into announcing GTA VI. Earlier this year, a fan went up on stage in front of a live TV audience to ask the host if he knew anything about GTA 6. Meanwhile, another fan attended AEW Dynamite holding up a GTA VI sign. Although such acts can be seen as flattering, fans tend to take things a bit too far. This is probably why Rockstar decided to mute GTA VI on its YouTube channel to prevent anyone from talking about the fictional game. Unfortunately, Rockstar’s efforts have proven futile. Instead of discouraging trolls from talking about GTA VI, the internet has only gotten creative. Trolls are now finding other ways to refer to GTA VI, including calling it GTA IIIIII. If anything, all Rockstar has done is to draw even more attention to itself and force fans to try and find more ways to keep on pestering the studio for GTA VI news. GTA is one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time. GTA 5 alone, which was released in 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, has sold 150 million units. It ranks just behind Minecraft as the second-best-selling video game in history. However, fans aren’t happy that Rockstar keeps on re-releasing GTA 5 and the next-gen version of GTA 5 was widely criticized. It also certainly didn’t help Rockstar’s case that it delayed GTA 5 for the Xbox Series S/X and PS5 to March 2022. Interestingly enough, banning GTA VI on YouTube isn’t the only weird thing that Rockstar has done lately. For example, the studio’s parent company recently issued DMCA takedowns to popular GTA mods and even went as far as to sue those who are responsible for porting classic GTA games to the Nintendo Switch. As it stands, Rockstar only has one confirmed project in development and that is the next-gen version of GTA 5. Everything else, including GTA 6 and the GTA Remastered Trilogy, remains unannounced.
