Marvel Studios unveiled the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 while Paramount Pictures released an action-packed teaser for Transformers: Rise of the Beast. The former will be James Gunn’s swansong in the MCU while the latter showcases Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons alongside the Autobots and Decepticons. Another big reveal in the CCXP is the official title for Indiana Jones 5. The upcoming action-adventure flick will be Harrison Ford’s final outing as Indiana Jones and closes a series that started four decades ago. The series debuted in 1981 with Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be the official title of the final entry into the series. Alongside the official title is the first trailer for the movie. The trailer showed off a de-aged Ford as much of the movie is set in 1969. We’ve got to say, the CGI work done on the actor looks flawless considering he was already 80 years old when filming concluded. The teaser also provides some exciting moments involving Nazis, horses, car chases, and even a giant rolling ball. It was recently revealed most of the stunts were real as director James Mangold opted to use practical effects instead of CGI. Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen were seen in the first official trailer for Indiana Jones 5. Waller-Bridge will be playing the part of Helena, Jones’ goddaughter. Mikkelsen has been cast as Voller, a former Nazi scientist hired by NASA for the Apollo moon-landing program who will be the villain in the movie. From the trailer, Jones has seemingly retired from his adventuring days. But, he’s forced out of retirement and once again has to put on his cowboy hat and bring along his trusted whip in a final adventure. While the setting may be in the 70s, it is important to consider that the first movie Raiders of the Lost Ark was set in the 1930s. This is Ford’s first movie for the Indiana Jones franchise in fifteen years. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released in 2008. All films combine for a total revenue of almost $2 billion. The final movie will push the number way past the $2 billion mark as soon as it hits theaters on June 30 next year.
