The first half of Ozark’s final season ended with Alfonso Herrera’s Javi brutally murdering Lisa Emery’s Darlene Snell and Charlie Tahan’s Wyatt Langmore after Darlene refused to drop her heroin operation. After Ruth finds out the role the Navarro cartel’s second in command played in the murder, Julia Garner’s sassy and smart psychopathic character threatens Marty that he has no choice but to kill her to prevent her from putting an end to Javi’s life.
The Ozark season 4 part 2 trailer suggests that Ruth will stop at nothing to drop Javi dead, but leaves Javi’s status hanging - will he survive or will she deliver the killing blow? Of course, the biggest question on every Ozark fan’s mind is if the Byrdes survived getting almost run over by a truck and flipping their car over while en route to the FBI. While the first official trailer for part 2 of Ozark season 4 provides more questions than answers, it does lend a bittersweet moment for audiences who’ve followed the series closely since its launch back in 2017. By this time next month, Ozark, one of Netflix’s most critically-acclaimed drama series, is going to end. If it’s any consolation, Netflix isn’t going to run out of similarly beloved shows for subscribers to binge-watch for the next couple of months at least. Once Ozark ends, fans can look forward to the final season of Better Call Saul. Similar to Ozark, the final few episodes of the Bob Odenkirk-led series have been split into two parts, with the first half dropping on April 18 and the rest coming on July 11.
