So far, Valhalla has fallen a bit short, especially in the DLC department. However, after the release of Wrath of the Druid, Ubisoft confirmed at the Ubisoft Forward presentation at E3 2021 that the open-world series’ latest installment will be receiving more DLC content after The Siege of Paris. Now, while Ubisoft offered nothing more than a tease at E3 2021, it seems that the series’ passionate fans have deciphered where the third Valhalla DLC will take place.

Is Muspelheim the Setting for the third Valhala DLC?

Ever since Ubisoft teased the setting for the third Valhalla DLC with a video showing a stone gate at E3 2021, fans have worked hard to find out what it meant.

One devoted community, in particular, AccessTheAnimus, has released an in-depth video (above) that details all the hard work that the series’ devotees put into translating and interpreting the Isu language that was briefly shown at E3 2021. To summarize, the video explains Loki saying “Mad One, what have you done?” in reference to what Odin did, while also essentially confirming that the third Valhalla DLC will take place in Muspelheim. Unlike the first DLC (and quite possibly the second DLC), the third Vallhalla DLC looks like it will further the story of the modern Isu, which ended on a cliffhanger. To prove that this isn’t just fans grasping at straws, Ubisoft itself has congratulated AccessTheAnimus over on Twitter, stated that it had a “contingency plan” in place that would have aired next month (possibly July?) had fans not solved the riddle.

— Assassin’s Creed (@assassinscreed) June 17, 2021 Now, this is all speculation at this point, but with The Siege of Paris also having a Summer 2021 release date, it seems that Ubisoft intended to drop the news of the third DLC as soon as the second DLC dropped if not around the same time. This would have made perfect sense too. Of course, as we’ve already mentioned, all of that is guesswork. Ubisoft has yet to confirm when exactly The Siege of Paris DLC for Valhalla will drop outside of the Summer 2021 release window. What’s interesting here is that a Muspelheim setting for the third Valhalla DLC was leaked months ago. It certainly seems like Ubisoft has got its work cut out for it as far as hiding things from the series fans. As for any lore implications of the Muspelheim setting, it does fit. Valhalla has already taken players to Asgard and Jotunheim. It wouldn’t be a stretch if Ubisoft added the fiery realm into Valhalla. Unfortunately, as exciting as it is to get a chance to visit Muspelheim in Valhalla, the DLC likely won’t arrive until the end of 2021, at the very least.
