According to several new job listings from the studio behind the NBA 2K series, and the upcoming WWE 2K22 game, Visual Concepts are currently looking for people to help out with its open-world driving game. While Visual Concepts did not drop a name, many fans believe that the studio is hiring for a potential Midnight Club revival. Of course, just because Take-Two recently mentioned Midnight Club as one of the games that it would like to revive, this doesn’t mean that Visual Concepts is working on the game. For all we know, Visual Concepts could be working on an entirely different racing game. On the other hand, Take-Two is already sitting on a “known” racing property, so you can’t exactly blame fans for speculating. Finally, it makes sense for Take-Two to assign the development of a potential Midnight Club revival to one of its other studios as Rockstar Games is busy working on the next GTA VI title. A few weeks ago, Rockstar confirmed that it is indeed working on the next GTA game. Because it is such a massive game that could potentially be released within the next two years, Rockstar probably doesn’t have the capacity to focus on anything else. Ultimately, because the listings do not contain any specific details about what game Visual Concepts is working on, fans will just have to wait for an official announcement. But, if Take-Two is indeed working on reviving Midnight Club, it’s going to be facing heavy competition whenever it hits the market. Forza Horizon 5 recently set a new Xbox Game Studios record when it was launched last year. Meanwhile, Gran Turismo 7 is set to be the series’ most beautiful game yet as it prepares for a March 4 release. Finally, Criterion Games is reportedly working on a new Need for Speed game that’s scheduled for a release later this year.
